November 21, 2015 – Risen Followers of Christ

PrayerLife Tracy ArtOne of the most marvelous truths in all the bible is revealed in Ephesians, chapters  1 and 2.  The apostle Paul declares that when we placed our faith in Jesus, we were spiritually raised from the dead!  “You were dead in the trespasses and sins … But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:1, 4-6).  We are Risen men and women, and we are called to live resurrection lives!

November 20 1015 – The Body of Christ

PrayerLife Tracy ArtGod has designed us with a need to walk in meaningful relationship with others in the Body of Christ. For the Church to be a powerful movement for societal change, we must be vitally connected to other believers. The Church is God’s divine tool for bringing about transformation worldwide.

November 19 2015 – His Global Mission

PrayerLife Tracy ArtJesus has commissioned each Christian to play a unique role in His global Mission. Jesus came to His disciples and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matt 28:18-20). There is no greater calling than to serve the King of Kings in accomplishing His Kingdom plan.

November 17 2015 – Affirming Our Love For God

PrayerLife Tracy ArtThe defining moment of any romantic relationship is the first time one person declares their love to the other.  Affirming our unending love and devotion for God is a defining moment.  Jesus said we are to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” (Mark 12:30).  Let’s come before the Lord and declare that we love Him with our entire being.

November 16 2015 – Affirming Devotion To Jesus

PrayerLife Tracy ArtThe apostles frequently identified themselves as devoted servants of Jesus.  There are many things in our culture calling for our attention and affections. Today, take a moment to affirm to God that you are a devoted follower of Jesus. Express your desire to listen to His voice and respond with obedience. Invite Him to transform your life and impact others through you.

November 15 2015 – The Ultimate Healing

PrayerLife Tracy ArtConsider this about the many people Jesus healed: If they enjoyed a long life the crippled eventually became lame again, the blind lost their sight and the deaf lost their hearing. Even Lazarus, who was physically raised from the dead, eventually died again. However, all these physical miracles pointed to an ultimate spiritual reality. The One who could heal and raise the dead, physically, could also forgive sin and raise the dead spiritually – giving eternal life! The ultimate healing is not a physical miracle. The ultimate healing is that God can open the spiritual eyes of the blind to the truth of the gospel and raise up with Christ those who are spiritually dead. Have you been spiritually raised from the dead?

November 14 2015 – Help Us In Our Unbelief

PrayerLife Tracy ArtAn encounter with Jesus in Mark 9 reveals a weakness in faith that we all share.

“And they brought the boy to him (Jesus). And when the spirit saw him, immediately it convulsed the boy, and he fell on the ground and rolled about, foaming at the mouth. 21 And Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. 22 And it has often cast him into fire and into water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” 23 And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
