Shattered Dreams – April 15 2017

PrayerLife Tracy PhotoOn this day of Passion Week Jesus’ lifeless body was in the tomb. For the disciples it was a day of sadness,  discouragement, fear, and shattered dreams. We know, from our historical perspective, that something is about to happen that will radically change everything. Jesus will rise victoriously from the dead! The next time you experience a season of sadness,  discouragement, fear, and shattered dreams – allow the resurrection of Jesus to remind you that God is able to do something that will radically change everything!

Catastrophic Loss – September 14 2016

PrayerLife Tracy PhotoIn the Old Testament, Job lost everything that was of value to him in a matter of minutes.  His family and possessions were gone!  Only his embittered wife remained.  Job grieved his loss but continued to direct his heart and his faith toward God.  If you are in the midst of catastrophic loss, I urge you to remain tender toward the Lord and invite His healing presence into your painful situation.

Broken Hearts and Empty Arms – September 11 2015

PrayerLife Tracy ArtThis PrayerLife episode is directed toward parents who have suffered the catastrophic loss of a young child. In the Christmas Story, King Herod desperately tried to remove the possibility of a rival to his throne by killing all the infant boys in Bethlehem. An entire community grieved the loss of their infant sons.  Matthew 11:18 says, “A voice was heard in Ramah, weeping and loud lamentation, Rachel weeping for her children; she refused to be comforted, because they are no more.” Join with me as we pray for those with broken hearts and empty arms.

Catastrophic Loss – September 9 2015

PrayerLife Tracy ArtIn the Old Testament, Job is a man who, in a matter of a few hours, loses everything he held dear.  Sons, daughters, wealth and possessions were all taken from him. Job and his wife were left … alone. How did he respond? We are told, “Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fellon the ground and worshiped” (Job 1:20). Even in the face of catastrophic loss, Job continued to turn his heart to the living God.
